Titanic The ExperienceTake an adventure back in time. Hundreds of thousands of visitors each year come to stroll through full-scale recreations of Titanic’s most famous rooms, including her Grand Staircase, First Class Parlor Suite, Boilers, and Promenade Deck, where you can walk out and feel the chill of the cold Atlantic air as you gaze at the stars.

Exceptionally trained actors in period costume portray famous Titanic notables such as Capt. Smith and Molly Brown, sharing stories of her passengers and crew during an hour-long guided journey aboard the most famous ship in history. The exhibit showcases an extensive Underwater Room, displaying an 8-foot replica of Titanic as she appears on the bottom of the Atlantic today as well as over 200 artifact and historical treasures, including movie memorabilia from James Cameron’s blockbuster film, TITANIC.

TITANIC SIGNATURE PROJECT PROPOSED FOR ODYSSEY

Major plans for a potential new site for the Titanic Signature Project, the key visitor attraction to be built with the support of government for the 2012 Titanic centenary, were revealed today. Known as Titanic Dock, the proposal envisages a new, iconic boat-shaped extension to the Odyssey at Abercorn Basin.

The building would create an additional 120,000 square feet of exhibition and gallery space including a scale model of the Titanic suspended spectacularly behind the glass frontage of the building. The boat-like design would also incorporate rejuvenated exhibition space for W5, a new five star hotel which allows guests to stay ‘on the boat’; a centralised ticketing and commercial area and new banqueting and conference space on the top floors with views of Belfast Lough, Queen’s Island and beyond.
