Stanley Lehrer
Stanley Lehrer is the founder, former publisher and editorial
director of USA today. He is well-known as a devoted and serious
collector of TITANIC artifacts that have been exhibited in museums
and galleries in the United States, Canada and England. In almost
30 years his collection has expanded into the largest and most
prestigious in North America and world-wide. Kenneth C Schultz,
the leading ocean liner memorabilia dealer in the world today,
based in Hoboken, NJ., declared in November 1998 catalogue that
Leherer's artifacts constitute "without question the largest
and finest collection of TITANIC memorabilia in private hands
in the Northern Hemisphere and most likely in the world...I'm
just as proud of it as he is."
As a historian he provides slide-illustrated lectures about TITANIC
artifacts and memorabilia. Among his nine books is the acclaimed
TITANIC: Fortune & Fate, released in 1998, that highlighted
a substantial part of his collection. Upon seeing the book, Walter
Lord generously stated in USA Today, "There is no better
authority on the TITANIC than Stanley Lehrer, and TITANIC: Fortune
& Fate thoroughly confirms it."
His collection also featured in the 1997 bestseller, Titanic:
Legacy of the World's Greatest Ocean Liner, published by Time-Life
Books. Broadway beckoned the same year when the authentic Titanic
life jacket in his collection was used for designing the life
jackets in the Tony Award-winning musical "Titanic."
Gary Robinson
Gary Robinson has been a serious researcher and collector of
the items pertaining to RMS Titanic for over ten years, and now
considers Titanic collecting a lifetime hobby and passion. He
has
specialized his collection by focusing on pre-maiden voyage advertising
and items that in some way physically came into contact with
the ship. He has assisted authors, museums and private collectors
with authentication, appraisal and research of Titanic related
artifacts and ephemera and is listed in several national collecting
publications as an expert regarding Titanic material. Artifacts
from Robinson's collection have been featured in books and periodical
articles on numerous occasions.
Craig A. Sopin
Craig Sopin owns one of the largest privately held Titanic collections
in North America. He is a frequent lecturer and a lender to museums,
and his collection has been featured in various media worldwide.
Mr. Sopin's expertise in the field of Titanic collectibles is
regularly sought out by auction houses, museums, merchants and
collectors. When his Titanic activities permit, he practices
law in Pennsylvania.
